Lammas

The strength of summer moves forward,

Toward the harvest of first-fruits we go,

When the corn and the grain are now taken,

Their great sacrifices we know.

Though the sun keeps on marching toward darkness,

We are grateful for all we receive,
For the life and great blessings we’re given,

In the great giving Earth we believe.
